We spend the whole year looking forward to our Summer holiday; after the long, dark days of Winter there’s no better feeling than the sun on your back and sand under your toes. It’s only natural that you want to look your best on the beach but how many of us give much thought to our swimwear?

Unless you have been living in a cave for the past month, it won’t have escaped your notice that there’s a new Hollywood blockbuster hitting our cinema screens right now going by the name of La La Land.

I visited a Vintage Fayre this weekend. What fun! Everything from the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s for sale – clothes for ladies and gentlemen, fabulous fashion accessories and even the odd retro kitchen appliance. You could even book a make-up and hair make-over in the style of your favourite decade. Whatever the decade you started to be interested in fashion and clothes, it was a real trip from memory lane.

Rebel rebel!

David Bowie was Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane, The Thin White Duke, A dapper gentleman and a style icon throughout his career. He was unarguably fashion’s king of self-invention. As well as being a musical genius, he was the ultimate rule breaker continually re-inventing, innovating and challenging our pre-conceptions of fashion.
